Kindergarten
Tot-Time Child Development Centers' Kindergarten program is ideal for children who are too young to attend a mainstream school or who thrive in small classroom settings.
By Kindergarten, your child is enthusiastic about learning and ready to participate in a diverse curriculum that builds his or her foundation for future education. For many children who are too young to attend a mainstream school or who thrive in a small classroom setting, our Kindergarten program is the perfect alternative. We prepare children for the first grade and success in school by offering a comfortable and familiar environment that makes learning more effective and fun. Teachers use a variety of activities to reinforce lessons including field trips, computer-based activities** and on-site experiences. Field trips are included in your child's tuition, however, a signed permission slip is required for the child to attend. Chaperones/parents are welcome and encouraged to attend, but they must pay their own admission fee.
Through our Kindergarten program, children:
- Develop a positive sense of self
- Achieve intellectual growth
- Expand their knowledge of people, experiences, ideas and things
- Increase language competency and skills
- Increase mathematical and science competency and skills
- Develop cooperative trusting relationships and team work skills
- Discover social studies and geography
- Build upon their musical and artistic skills
**To ensure the safety of your child, all computers in the Pre-School and Kindergarten classrooms are equipped with child-safety filters that restrict access to certain websites.
