Pre-school

Tot-Time Child Development Centers believe that exploration and self-expression are an important part of your child's development.

During the pre-school years your child is enjoying the thrill of exploration and discovery. Our teachers and staff strive to nurture this passion for learning and use a variety of methods to teach your child "the basics." In addition to individual and group activities, games, and arts and crafts, your child may have the opportunity to engage in educational programs on one of the classroom computers.**

Pre-School is the time when we focus on developing your child's language skills and vocabulary. We also teach your child to recognize colors, letters and numbers.

Through our Pre-School program, children:

  • develop and use their language skills
  • develop and improve gross motor skills (walking, running, jumping, climbing)
  • expand their vocabularies
  • reinforce and strengthen social skills
  • learn to recognize and write letters, numbers and names

Periodically, children in the Pre-School and Kindergarten programs will have the opportunity to participate in field trips or special on-site learning experiences that further their educational experiences. These field trips are included in your child's tuition, however, a signed permission slip is required for the child to attend. Chaperones/parents are welcome and encouraged to attend, but they must pay their own admission fee.

**To ensure the safety of your child, all computers in the Pre-School and Kindergarten classrooms are equipped with child-safety filters that restrict access to certain websites.
